Terms of Use

Effective as of 2026-10-10

These terms govern your use of Brainee: Second Brain (the "App"), made by Serhii Hryn ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the App you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Using the App

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on devices you own or control. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or redistribute the App, or use it to break the law.

Your content

Everything you create in the App belongs to you. It is stored on your device, not on our servers, so you are responsible for keeping backups (for example through your device's iCloud or Google backup). We cannot recover content that is lost or deleted.

Free plan and Premium

The App has a free plan with usage limits and an optional Premium subscription. Prices, billing periods and any free trial are shown in the App and on the store before you buy.

  • Subscriptions are sold and billed by the App Store or Google Play, under their terms.
  • They renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You can manage or cancel them in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
  • Refunds are handled by the store you purchased from, under its policies.

Third-party services and content

Some features rely on other services, described in our Privacy Policy. Photos from Unsplash are provided under the Unsplash License. Websites you save as links belong to their owners; we are not responsible for their content.

App Store users

If you downloaded the App from Apple's App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. These terms are between you and us, not Apple, and Apple has no obligation to provide support for the App.

Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it reliable, but we do not guarantee that it will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that reminders will always fire. Do not rely on the App alone for anything safety-critical.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.

Ending use

You can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may stop offering the App or any feature; if we do, we will try to give reasonable notice.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the effective date above. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring claims in its courts.
